About
About The Good Baker
The Good Baker is Brad Katz's gluten-free bakery and cafe, opened at the end of 2022 inside the YMCA's Balsillie Family Branch at 123 Aylmer Street South. Before that, Brad spent years baking professionally, including at Kawartha Lakes Fudge Company, Pastry Peddler in Millbrook and the Butter Tart Factory.
"I don't want it to be good for being gluten free. I want it to be really good and it happens to be gluten free," he told Kawartha Now in 2023.
In 2024 Brad opened a second location, The Good Baker YPQ, in the terminal at the Peterborough Airport.
